  • A chisel working around the pinion flange seal in the diff popped it out pretty easily once it was deformed. On the yoke side, just a small prybar used evenly all the way around slides the shaft seal off easy. My pinion yoke shaft was in excellent shape. Pressed the new seals in with bits and pieces from a wheel bearing kit, worked great.

We used a brake adjustment tool to pry out the seal. Seal pullers can be purchased. Remove the seal with very small and careful prying, turning frequently. Here is the hub with the seal removed.
